James C. McDougall | James Clark McDougall was born in Delanco on October 30, 1928, the son of Robert R. and Frances Kelly McDougal, Jr.; sibling of Vernon "Bud" McDougaL He was a lifelong resident of Delanco. He knew the town well, having served as a paperboy for several publications. He joined the US Navy November 19. 1951 during the Korean Conflict and served as a Communications TECnician 3rd grade. He was discharged November 10, 1955. When he returned to Delanco he went to work for the railroad as a signal operator. He later became a self-employed hardware salesman until his retirement. He married (1st) Dolores, then (2nd) Dorothy Myers. They lived on Willow Street then moved to 100 Creek Road. They were active in 1st Presbyterian Church. Jim was a member of the Beverly/ Riverside Masonic Lodge #170 F. and A.M., the Consistory, the Crescent Shrine and the Delanco Senior Citizens Club. Jim died at home on December 30, 2017 at age 89.
